New Delhi : A close aide of yoga guru Baba Ramdev Sunday urged the Supreme Court Chief Justice to order an inquiry into the midnight police action against yoga guru and his supporters.
“We request the chief justice to order an inquiry into the police brutality,” Ramdev’s spokesperson S.K. Tijarawala told IANS.
He said he and others ran for cover when police swooped down on the Ramlila ground here and forcibly removed Ramdev in a bid to his fast against corruption and black money.
Police lobbed tear gas and used batons at the crowds. “It is like Emergency and Jallianwala Bagh. The Baba was kidnapped.”
