Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief administrative officer Ratnakar Shetty said the talks are at a preliminary stage and former captain Anil Kumble, who is also chairman of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), has been tasked with working out the project with Infosys.

“Anil Kumble is involved in talks with Infosys to develop a software for injury management of players. But at the moment, the talks are at a very preliminary stage,” said Shetty.

The move comes after several senior players missed the ongoing series in the West Indies due to injuries.

Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir are missing the series due to shoulder injuries while pacers Zaheer Khan and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth were also ruled out of the Test matches due to ankle and elbow injuries.
