Speaking on the occasion, Imam-e-Juma, Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawwad also showered praised on Hazrat Ali’s style of functioning. “During his tenure, Hazrat Ali used to ask from his populace about any problem related to living. He was kind and just to all. His teachings are more relevant in present times when an era of nepotism and favourtism is ruining the society,” he said.

Presiding over the function, the representative of Ayatullah Syed Ali Khamenaei of Iran stressed that Hazrat Ali is not confined to Muslims only and he is a source of inspiration for whole mankind.

“Hazrat Ali had set example by not wasting a single penny from the government treasury on personal gains. He even denied a hike in stipend to his brother Hazrat Aqeel on grounds that he is related to Caliph,” said Mehdvipur.

The function which was organized by Urdu Media Guild, was well attended by eminent speakers including the Maulana Kalbe Sadiq Vice-President, All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), Prof Tanveer Chishti member, Uttrakhand Planning Commission, and Magsaysay awardee Sandeep Pandey.
