Agartala: Tripura police Sunday seized a parcel containing live cartridges, a mobile handset and a land registration document, a police officer said.
Police said that Siddhiashram post office in the outskirts of the capital city Saturday received a heavy parcel containing five live bullets, a mobile handset and a land registration document of a resident of the locality.
The sender’s address was not written on the parcel.
Police interrogated the post office employees and some suspected persons soon after recovery of the parcel, police inspector Debaprasad Roy told IANS Sunday.
The incident took place within a fortnight after the recovery of a package with six live cartridges of a 9 mm pistol from a nursing girl student, who received it through a private courier.
“That parcel seemed to have been sent from Kailashahar in northern Tripura by a woman, whose husband allegedly had a love affair with the second year nursing school student,” a police official said.
