Congress spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan told reporters at a press conference here Wednesday: “There is a total rebellion among their senior leaders, and in desperation the BJP is levelling allegation against the government.”

“I would like to repeat what the finance minister said, and dismiss these charges as being completely an attempt by the BJP to divert the attention from their own internal rebellion,” she added.

“After being defeated in general election and state elections, the BJP is trying to raise those issues which are not in nation’s interest. To divert the attention from their internal dispute, they are raising this issue in public domain,” she said in an oblique reference to the rebellion by senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde.
