Cairo: Mohamed Abdelaziz el-Guindy was named Egypt’s new minister of justice Sunday, state television reported.
El-Guindy, a former attorney-general, is replacing Mamdouh Marie.
The justice ministry was one of the key portfolios which protesters demanded be taken out of the hands of associates of former president Hosni Mubarak.
