Chennai : The DMK Monday decided to “wait for a day” and postponed its decision to quit the Manmohan Singh government after talks between senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.
“The resignation of central ministers will be decided tomorrow (Tuesday),” M.K. Stalin, deputy chief minister, told reporters.
The DMK ministers had taken an appointment with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for Monday evening to submit their resignation following the breakdown in seat-sharing talks for the April 13 assembly polls.
