New Delhi : A man has been arrested allegedly for raping his 13-year-old neighbour at knife-point at her residence here, police said Friday.
Roshan Lal, 40, who was arrested Thursday night, raped the minor girl Wednesday when he noticed that her parents and her brother had left for some work.
“The victim was alone in her J block house in Jahangirpuri area of north Delhi when Lal barged in and raped her. He threatened her of dire consequences and also hurt her with the knife,” a senior police officer said.
When her parents returned, they found her bleeding. She narrated them the incident. They rushed her to a nearby hospital and registered a complaint.
“The medical test confirmed rape. He is a neighbour of the victim,” the officer added.
