New Delhi: India’s annual rate of food inflation declined to 9.42 percent for the week ended March 5 from 9.52 percent the earlier week, as the prices of vegetables, milk, eggs, meat and poultry came down, official data showed Thursday.
Limited data on the wholesale price index released by the commerce and industry ministry showed that the index for primary articles also fell from 13.96 percent to 12.31 percent, while that for fuel increased to 12.79 percent from 9.48 percent.
