The festival of colours will be celebrated Sunday.

“Respect the feelings of others and do not offend their sensitivity while celebrating the festival of colours,” said police in an advertisement published in newspapers.

It advised revellers not to apply colours on unwilling people, not to throw water balloons at passersby and absolutely eschew using dirt and chemicals to smear others.

“People should not indulge in eve teasing or mix drinking and driving,” the advertisement further said.

According to Delhi Police officials, there would be vigilant patrolling in the city Sunday with policemen on the move across the city.

“Special teams will join policemen of the area on duty,” a senior official said.

Women constables will also be on patrol as undercover agents to stop and nab anyone trying to harass girls and women, he added.

“Elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of girls in the capital,” the officer said.
