Washington : The leaders of the US, France, Britain and Germany discussed situation in Libya by a video conference Monday, Xinhua quoted a White House statement as stating.
The White House said the leaders, including US President Barack Obama, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, British Prime Minister David Cameron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, ” welcomed” the international conference that will be held on Tuesday in London.
They reviewed the “significant progress” achieved by coalition forces and also discussed the transition of command and control to NATO, according to the statement.
Obama reiterated that the US will provide ” supporting capabilities” to the coalition effort, said the White House.
