Gandhinagar : A controversial book on Mahatma Gandhi was banned in his home state of Gujarat Wednesday.
A resolution to ban the book, “Great Soul”, was moved in the state assembly by Chief Minister Narendra Modi and passed unanimously.
The book, “Great Soul: Mahatma Gandhi and His Struggle With India”, by Pulitzer winning writer Joseph Lelyveld created a controversy after reviewers said it suggested that the icon of non-violence was a bisexual.
