New Delhi : The Delhi government has sent a detailed report about state Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan, who was indicted by the Lokayukta for allegedly protecting a leading resort in a tax evasion case.A Delhi government official told IANS Monday that the government has sent a detailed report to the home ministry which includes “sequence of events”.
Last month, the union home ministry had directed the Delhi government to file a detailed report about his alleged role in the case.
The allegations against Chauhan relate to a tax survey of the Tivoli Garden resort in south Delhi and had created an uproar in the Delhi assembly in August last year. Lokayukta Justice Manmohan Sarin had recommended Chauhan’s removal from office.
