Abu Dhabi: The Khalifa University will host the UAE’s fifth Information and Communication Technology Research Forum (ICTRF2011) at its campus here Sunday, the organisers said.
The event, which was held for the first time in 2006, focuses on advances in information and communication technologies (ICT), including research and educational networks, funding opportunities and mechanisms, as well as emerging research areas in the sector.
The one-day event will include sessions on initiating research and innovation through network enabled applications, achieving and measuring impact through research funding.
Khalifa University executive vice president and forum chair, Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, said: “Through ICTRF2011, Khalifa University aims to bring together global leaders in the field of ICT, in doing so we hope that the event will serve as an assembly to discuss educational networks and to discuss the latest developments in this area.”
