Puducherry : The All India NR Congress (AINRC) and its ally AIADMK were set to capture power in Puducherry.
The combine was leading in 19 of the 30 seats. The ruling Congress-led front led only in nine seats.
Promoted by former Congress chief minister N. Rangasamy, this was the first electoral debut for the AINRC.
