Abu Dhabi : At least 29 Bangladeshis have been detained in Abu Dhabi for entering the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and working without proper authentication.
Their employer, a Bangladeshi who sheltered them, has been arrested.
Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, assistant under secretary of the ministry of interior, said 220 people were detained for violating labour and residency laws. Of these, 29 were Bangladeshis.
