Agra : Ahead of the 2012 Uttar Pradesh elections, the Samajwadi Party will hold its national convention in this Taj Mahal city June 7-8, party sources said Wednesday.
“From the communication point of view and logistics, Agra is the best place for the convention. Hotels are no problem here, and people from all directions can come easily,” said former central minister Ramji Lal Suman.
The convention will be held at the Post and Telegraph Department ground in Agra Cantonment.
The party will start its district level conferences across Uttar Pradesh from June 1, culminating in the Agra meet.
