It turned out that like most of the leaders of the Nitish Kumar government, Dr. Ahmad too had confusions about the real issue and role of the vice chancellor of AMU. However, the AMU Co-ordination Committee put the facts regarding AMU off campus and reasons for AMU VC’s refusal of the Bihar government’s offer of three separate pieces of land.

The committee had also shown a map of the proposed land and the solution for making it one piece contiguous land as per the demand of AMU VC. Dr. Ahmad expressed his interest to end the deadlock on the land transfer issue. The committee also clarified the doubts about the AMU VC’s role and his controversial image created by the ministers of the state government on this issue.

The committee suggested him to fix a meeting of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with AMU Vice Chancellor P.K.Abdul Azis to resolve the matter on immediate basis, an idea in which Dr. Ahmad showed an interest. Those who met him include Kaifee Anwar, Minnat Rahmani, Tauquir Alam and Khalid Mubashshir, besides the author.
