Sikh pilgrims visit Pakistan

Islamabad : About 8,000 Sikh pilgrims from all over the world have congregated in Pakistan’s Punjab province to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.

The three-day celebrations began at Nankana Sahib Tuesday, reported the News International.

About 8,000 pilgrims from India, Britain, Canada, Australia, Afghanistan and other countries have reached Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism.

Security arrangements have been tightened in the area.
