Puducherry minister faces axe after exam impersonation charges

By IANS,

Puducherry : Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy Saturday recommended sacking Education Minister P.M.L. Kalyanasundaram, who is facing the charges of impersonation in his final year school exam.

Rangasamy has written to Lt. Governor Iqbal Singh recommending Kalyanasundaram’s removal, a minister, who did not want to be named, told IANS.

Tamil Nadu Police is on the look out for Kalyanasundaram on the charges of impersonation while writing the final exam on a complaint from Tamil Nadu’s education department.

The Madras High Court had rejected the anticipatory bail application filed by Kalyanasundaram Nov 8.

A local court adjourned the hearing of the impersonation case to Nov 25 after Kalyanasundaram failed to appear.

Kalyanasundaram, a school dropout, wanted to complete at least the school final and is alleged to have used a proxy to write the exam in Dindivanam centre in Tamil Nadu in September.
