Lucknow: Eminent Shia cleric and Imam-e-Juma, Maulana Kalbe Jawwad visited the trauma centre of CSM Medical University to meet the injured Shia youths on Sunday. Two Shia youths were injured during the firing incident at Dargah Hazrat Abbas on November 10. Jawwad during his interaction wished them speedy recovery and assured all possible assistance during treatment.
In another development, Shia women took out a candle march from Dargah Hazrat Abbas on Sunday evening. They were protesting against the alleged police harassment while searching for the accused in firing incident.
The century old Dargah Hazrat Abbas had witnessed firing when two committees clashed over the mutawalliship of the shrine. Large scale criticism from all quarters over disgracing of shrine poured in while two FIRs were lodged in this regard. Police is conducting raids to arrest the named accused in these FIRs.
