Pakistani airline grounds 10 planes

Islamabad : Pakistan’s national carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has grounded 10 of its aircraft due to lack of spare parts.

The government had inked a $700 million deal with Transworld Engineering for supply of spare parts, but due to non-delivery of the parts, the planes have been grounded, a PIA spokesman said Sunday.

The aircraft were unfit for flying, DawnNews reported.
