By TCN News,

New Delhi: The Welfare Party of India has condemned the ‘brutal methods and use of excessive force’ by US authorities to crackdown the on-going Occupy movements in various cities across the United States. P.C. Hamza, General Secretary of Welfare Party alleged that US government is trying to silence dissenting voice by using force, dismantling and tearing the tents and evicting the peaceful protestors by mass arrests.

Hamza stated that this action “will only bring disgrace and disrespect to the image of the United States.” “It was least expected from a nation that champions freedom of expression and organisation, a nation that has directly involved in many sovereign nations for regime change in the name of bringing democracy and ensuring freedom of expression for the people there,” Hamza said in a media statement Wednesday evening.

Welfare Party, which is said to be political wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, was launched a few months ago and now is preparing to field candidates in Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.
