New Delhi : The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day Tuesday – the day the winter session of parliament commenced – after paying tributes to two members, Ram Dayal Munda and Silvius Condpan, who passed away recently.
Rajya Sabha chairman Hamid Ansari also made obituary references to former members Ghulam Rasool Matto and Bapu Kaldate who died.
The House paid tributes to well-known music composer and singer Bhupen Hazarika, who died earlier this month.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his cabinet colleagues, including External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna, Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi were present in the house.
