New Delhi : The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Monday said a team of its officials will inquire into last week’s fire at the capital’s sole night shelter for women in which a nine-year-old girl was killed.

“The commission has asked its director general (investigation) to send a team for an on-spot enquiry into the incident,” an NHRC official said in a statement.

The team has been asked to submit a report within a week.

Nine-year-old Vinita was killed after a blaze engulfed the night shelter on Baba Kharak Singh Marg in central Delhi Nov 18.
