In a seven-page letter dated Nov 22 but released to media Wednesday, Ramdev said that not only India but the world was going through an economic struggle and if the government brings back black money stashed abroad, India would soon become a superpower.

“If we get back the black money from abroad and put an end to the country’s internal economy thriving on black money, no one will be able to stop India from becoming an economic superpower,” he wrote.

“I believe that in the interest of the nation, you will reveal your plan of action to tackle the three issues I’ve raised within a couple of weeks,” he added.

Demanding a strong Lokpal bill to be passed in parliament’s winter session, Ramdev slammed the government for not wanting to extract details of politicians and bureaucrats accused of corruption.

“There have been cases against corrupt politicians and bureaucrats in our country, so at least the government can ask for their account details from foreign banks. Is it afraid that as some have been jailed, the next cabinet may be held inside the Tihar Jail?” he said.
