New Delhi: Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman’s dedication to work has left filmmaker Yash Chopra amazed.
The veteran filmmaker, who has signed up Rahman for the first time for his next directorial, is wonderstruck at his genius.
“Rahman is a genius. I am working on a film with him, and his way of working is fantastic… he’s amazing. He doesn’t talk anything but music, and he says he knows nothing but music,” Chopra said at an event here Tuesday.
Chopra has roped in Rahman to compose melodies for his yet-to-be-titled film starring Shah Rukh Khan.
“Rahman just makes his own music. He says – ‘Yashji, I make music… you like it, you take it; you don’t like it, don’t take it. I keep making music and I like doing it’. Such is the dedication of that man,” added the 79-year-old, whose last directorial venture was the cross-border love story “Veer-Zaara”, released in 2004.
