New Delhi : An Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-21 combat jet crashed in Rajasthan Friday but the pilot ejected to safety, an officer said.
The aircraft was returning from a routine sortie when it crashed around 11.30 a.m. near the Uttarlai air base in Barmer district, some 600 km from Rajasthan capital Jaipur.
“The pilot ejected to safety,” the officer said.
A court of enquiry has been ordered into the accident, he added.
