BankMuscat goes online with Nucleus software product

Bangalore : Oman’s BankMuscat’s operations have gone online with the FinnOne software of Nucleus Software, switching over from conventional and manual intervention to improve collection process, the Indian firm said Saturday.

“The successful implementation of our flagship product will improve the operational efficiency of BankMuscat’s collection process, enhance its competitive edge and customer focus,” Nucleus Software Exports Ltd chief executive Vishnu R. Dusad said in a statement here.

With assets valued at $15 billion, BankMuscat is the leading financial services provider in Oman, offering retail and corporate loans, auto loans, home loans and credit cards.

“As our operations at headquarters and across the branch network require support and involvement from the product supplier, Nucleus will partner in our growth by optimising our operational efficiencies across the collections operations,” BankMuscat group deputy general manager (credit) Abdul Kader Al Balushi said.

As a premier financial services provider in the Gulf state, BankMuscat has 1.3 million customers who are serviced from 130 branches across the region and through 520 ATMs and 5,300 point of sales.

The Noida-based listed firm (Nucleus) provides a host of IT solutions and consultancy services primarily in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector and has a 150 customers worldwide.
