AMU students take out Peace March in support of Sanjeev Bhatt

Aligarh: Joining the fast-growing supporting voice for Gujarat IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt, Aligarh Muslim University students on Saturday demand immediate release of Bhatt who was arrested on 30th Sep. after an FIR filed by a constable against him.

A procession of AMU students proceeded from University Canteen to University Circle keeping placards in their hands demanding immediate release of Bhatt. The students demanded intervention of central government in the whole matter immediatly.



The students sent a memorandum to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to take action against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and immediately intervene to ensure release of Sanjeev Bhatt who started legal battle for the victims of Gujarat riots.

The memo in the form of an open letter was read out to the mediapersons by RTI activist Shahzad Alam Barni.



The students sent a message through the media to Sanjeev Bhatt that all the students of Aligarh Muslim University are with him as the arrested IPS is fighting for justice of Gujarat victims.
