Bank employee killed in road accident

New Delhi : A 27-year-old bank employee was killed when his car collided with a truck at a traffic signal in south Delhi at night, police said Monday.

Gaurav Gujral, an MBA and a resident of Shahpur Jat, used to work with Yes Bank in South-Extension. He met with an accident at 11.15 p.m. Sunday while he was driving back home from Lodhi Colony.

“A truck was taking a U-turn near the traffic signal when Gujral’s car collided with it. Due to the strong impact, his car was dragged back a few metres, causing major damage,” explained policeman Rampal Singh.

“The right side of the car was completely smashed. The collision was so strong that Gujral died on the spot,” the officer added.

Gujral was to marry a girl in the US.

Police have registered a case and arrested the truck driver, Rajesh, 47.
