Los Angeles : At least six people died and three seriously injured after a shooter entered a beauty salon in California’s Seal Beach city in the US and opened fire, media reports said.
The shoot out took place place at 1.30 p.m. at Salon Meritage, about 48 km south of downtown Los Angeles, Xinhua reported local media as saying.
The three injured have been rushed to a local hospital.
Both — the dead and the wounded — were identified as employees or customers at the salon.
The suspect, a white male who is believed to be a lone shooter, was taken into custody by police some 800 meters from the scene, police spokesman Steve Bowles said.
Multiple weapons were seized from the car the suspect was driving.
The authorities are probing the motive behind the shooting.
