Lucknow: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday visited Bada Imambara and other historical monuments in the Uttar Pradesh capital. He praised the 200-year-old structure in high terms. The architecture is masterpiece, he said. This was the first time Baba Ramdev visited Bada Imambara of Lucknow.
“I have been to the state capital several times but still never got chance to visit this amazing piece of architecture which is standing here from more than 200 years,” the yoga guru said about Bada Imambara. “Today I got chance to see this masterpiece which is a marvellous structure which has 1024 gates in it,” he added.

He stated that the architecture of the building shows that the architects of that time were more efficient and intelligent in comparison to the architects of the present time. “These structures have a different kind of attraction in them which is missing in the structures of the present time,” he added.
Accompanied by the officials of Husainbad and Allied Trust (HAT), he later visited Bhul-Bhulaiya and Shahi Bauli also.
Speaking in the backdrop of the historical Bada Imambara, Baba Ramdev lashed out at Congress party and advised it to learn lessons from Hisar bypoll results or else be ready to face the defeat.
Baba Ramdev said: “The Congress party should stop supporting corruption which it has been doing frequently or else they will not be able to win forthcoming elections.” He added that what happened in Hisar bypoll is a lesson for Congress. If they do not get themselves right then people know what to do.
