Kabul : At least five Afghan army soldiers were killed Wednesday when their van hit a roadside bomb in western Afghanistan’ Herat province, a media report said.
“An Afghan army vehicle ran over a roadside bomb in Pashtun Zarghun district of Herat province at about 10.45 a.m. Wednesday, triggering a powerful blast killing five army soldiers aboard on the spot,” Xinhua quoted a private TV channel report as stating.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
