Pretoria : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh left here for New Delhi Wednesday morning after attending the 5th summit among the leaderships of India, Brazil and South Africa (IBSA), who also came out with a Tshwane Declaration.
The prime minister had both trilateral and bilateral engagements with his host President Jacob Zuma of South Africa and President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil Tuesday. He has attended all the previous four IBSA forums. The grouping was formed in 2003 and upgraded to the summit level in 2006.
The 24-page declaration after the conclusion of the latest summit exhibited a high level of convergence among the three major developing countries on a wide range of issues — from the current global economic crisis to terrorism and organised crime.
