Lucknow : In a clash following an argument between two groups of students, a 21-year-old engineering student was killed and three critically injured in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, police said Thursday.
Amit Kataria, 21, a B.Tech third-year student of B.B.D. Engineering College died after he was attacked with a knife by students of the same college Wednesday night in Jahangeerabad town.
“It was a fight for supremacy that took place just outside the college campus between two groups of students of the college,” police inspector Manish Kumar told reporters in Bulandshahr, some 400 km from here.
“We have sought assistance from the college authorities to nab the students involved in attacking Kataria and his three friends – Pramod, Diwakar and Satwant,” added Manish Kumar.
