Bhopal: A number of Muslims lined up along with people’s representatives and officers at the state hangar of Raja Bhoj Airport here to accord a warm send off to Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan who left for New Delhi en-route to China on Sunday evening. He later in the night left by an Air India plane from New Delhi for Hong Kong. From Hong Kong, Mr. Chouhan will reach Dalian city of China on Monday (September 12).
Mr. Chouhan on the invitation of World Economic Forum, (WEF), left for nine-day China visit to participate in programmes to be organised by the Forum in various Chinese cities till September 20.

The 28-member high-level delegation which also includes Commerce & Industry Minister Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan will explore fresh possibilities of investment in the state. Trade representatives, politicians, scientists, social entrepreneurs, experts of economics and top executives of prominent companies of the world are taking part in the World Economic Forum in China. During the period, the state’s delegation led by Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan will apprise the WEF members of the economic and industrial scenario of Madhya Pradesh and possibilities of investment in the state.
At the World Economic Forum programmes, changing behaviour of consumers due to economic and technological development in the world, structure of trade and effects on financial market will be assessed. Experts from all over the world will put forth their views on economic strategies of future and discuss various important factors affecting the economic scenario.
Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan will take part in various World Economic Forum programmes to be held in Dalian city of China from September 14 to 16. He will discuss possibilities of investment in Madhya Pradesh with world’s prominent investors at Beijing on September 16. On September 19, Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan will take part in a road show at Shanghai for the investors interested to invest in Madhya Pradesh.
It may be mentioned that on the basis of strong economic growth rate, experts have assessed that India will be third after America and China in the global economy. Heartland of the country – Madhya Pradesh state – is essaying an important role as a contributory state in the country’s progress. Besides being the second largest state of the country, social, economic, health and education-related works are also being run smoothly for 72.5 million citizens of the state. So far, two global investors’ summits have been organised in the state to attract investments for economic and industrial development during which investment to the tune of 162.24 million dollars have been attracted.

According to a report of Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, 925 projects worth US $ 119.24 million are under process in Madhya Pradesh. The focus sectors of investment in Madhya Pradesh include mining, energy, infrastructure, engineering & automobile, agriculture & food processing, information technology & IT services and tourism.
Meanwhile, the delegation accompanying Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan to China visit apart from Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya comprises of Principal Secretary Industries Mr. P. K. Das, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Rajya Audyogik Vikas Nigam Mr. Pramod Kumar Das, Secretaries to Chief Minister, Mr. S. K. Mishra and Mr. Vivek Agrawal.
Those who bade farewell to Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan at the airport included State BJP President Mr. Prabhat Jha, Forest Minister Mr. Sartaj Singh, Agriculture Minister Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Transport Minister Mr. Jagdish Deora, Minister of State for Agriculture Mr. Brijendra Pratap Singh, chairmen of various corporations and boards, Director General of Police Mr. S. K. Raut, Divisional Commissioner Mr. Manoj Shrivastava and other senior officers. Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan will return on September 21. ([email protected])
