According to the official of the Delhi Airport Metro Express Private Limited (DAMEPL), the feeder bus service will connect Shivaji Stadium Metro station to various parts of the central business district of Connaught Place.

It will cover a distance of 5 km, mostly targeting the thousands of office commuters who use the line every day.

Three buses will be available between 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. on all days except Sunday. The bus service will match the train frequency of 15 minutes.

“After studying locations of various offices in Connaught Place, we identified the feeder bus route that will provide seamless connectivity to commuters going to Connaught Place for work. We are also planning to provide feeder bus connectivity at other Airport Metro stations,” said Reliance Infrastructure CEO Lalit Jalan.

He added that talks are already on with Delhi Metro and Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) for providing feeder service connectivity from other Metro stations.

Built at a cost of Rs.5,700 crore, the Airport Express line has six stations — New Delhi Railway Station, Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Aero City, Indira Gandhi International Airport and Dwarka Sec-21.

Delhi Metro is responsible for the civil work and Reliance Infrastructure will operate the line for 30 years and share the revenues.
