Berlin : At least 50 people were injured when a local train derailed after being hit by a vehicle at a crossing in Germany, a media report said.
The accident occurred Tuesday at a rail-road intersection in Lauterbach, eastern Germany, Xinhua reported.
The train slipped off the tracks after it was hit by a vehicle, police said. Three carriages derailed and one overturned.
Rescuers rushed to the site and the seriously injured passengers were transferred by helicopters to hospitals.
