Mumbai : K. Subramaniam was Wednesday named Maharashtra’s new police chief, an official said.
Subramaniam, an Indian Police Service officer of the 1976 batch, will take over from Ajit Parasnis who is scheduled to retire Friday.
Prior to his new appointment, Subramaniam was heading the state police’s anti-corruption bureau.
