New Delhi : The Congress party has fielded 112 candidates below the age of 40 of its total of 272 for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections on April 15.
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste got the largest chunk of tickets with 50, followed close by Brahmins with 49.
While 37 Jats will contest on the Congress ticket in various wards, a total of 30 Gujjars have got the party ticket.
Harsih Chaudhary, 22, is the the youngest candidate contesting polls from Jeevan Pur.
There are five candidates who are under the age of 25.
