Israeli embassy car blast: Police deny Kazmi’s allegation

By IANS,

New Delhi: Police Saturday denied allegations in a Delhi court that they forced Syed Mohammed Ahmad Kazmi, an accused in the Feb 13 Israeli embassy car blast here, to sign documents without reading them.

“It is submitted that neither the accused (Kazmi) was forced to sign any document (without reading) nor any blank document,” police told Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vinod Yadav.

Police also submitted names of officials who interrogated Kazmi in custody.

Kazmi alleged that he was forced to sign papers which were not given to him for reading. He was also made to sign blank papers.

Tal Yehoshua, wife of the Israeli defence attache, suffered multiple injuries Feb 13 when a motorcycle rider attached a magnetic explosive device to her car and sped away. Within seconds, the device exploded, setting the car on fire near the prime minister’s house in central Delhi.
