Dhaka : The editor of a Bangladeshi daily has received death threats from unidentified people for publishing reports on a missing leader of the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Golam Sarwar, editor of Bangla daily Shamokal, filed a police complaint Monday, the Daily Star reported Tuesday.
A police officer said the journalist mentioned in the complaint that unidentified callers issued him death threats several times over phone at the Shamokal office.
The callers threatened to kill him for publishing reports over missing BNP leader Ilias Ali, police said.
