Tehran : Iran Saturday announced it has successfully test-fired a missile with a range of 300 km, state-run IRIB TV reported.
The unnamed missile is the fourth generation of the Fateh 110 missiles that are capable of hitting targets in the sea and on the land, Defence Minister Brig. Gen. Ahmad Vahidi was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
Without referring to the time and place of testing the missile, Vahidi said it is also able to target radar systems, commandment bases and arsenal depots.
The construction of the missile aims at enhancing the deterrent power of Iran, and will be used against those who have an intention to attack the country, the minister said.
