US gurdwara shooting: DSGMC to compensate Delhi victims’ kin

New Delhi : The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee will give financial aid of Rs.1 lakh each to the next of kin of two people from Delhi who were killed in firing at a gurdwara in the US, Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely said Tuesday.

Lovely also holds charge of gurdwara elections and administration.

“Lovely and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Paramjit Singh Sarna had gone to express condolences to the bereaved families,” said a Delhi government official.

Ranjit Singh and his younger brother Sita Singh were among the six people who were killed when a lone gunman opened fire at the Sikh gurdwara in Milwaukee, Wisconsin state.
