SHO Omprakash Pawar, 42, and constable Vijay Kumar have been shifted from Madhu Vihar police station in east Delhi to police lines for indiscipline, a police officer said.

The incident took place Saturday morning at a police post in east Delhi’s Anand Vihar bus depot area.

Vijay Kumar, who was posted at the police post Friday night, was found missing from there when the SHO reached there.

“Pawar started abusing Kumar when he came back. When Kumar objected to the SHO using abusive language, Pawar beat him up,” said a police officer.

“The SHO alleged that Kumar misbehaved with him,” said the officer.

During the argument, the constable made a PCR call and he was rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where doctors detected a fracture in his hand.
