The Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas R.P.N. Singh told the Lok Sabha in a written reply Thursday that the ministry was not considering imposing any cap on the number of LPG cylinders to people earning more than Rs.6 lakh per annum.

Currently, the government subsidy on each domestic cylinder is Rs.22.58 while oil marketing companies are incurring an under-recovery of Rs.231 on each domestic cylinder, the minister said in reply to a question by Lok Sabha member Kruparani Killi.
