Kolkata: The body of a Kolkata Police officer, who apparently committed suicide, was found at his home in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district Saturday, police said.
Fifty-year old Kartik Chattopadhyay, a sub-inspector attached to the Park Street police station, was found hanging from the ceiling in his apartment in Baguihati area. A suicide note was recovered from the spot.
“It seems that it is a suicide. But we are investigating the case to check out all angles,” said Bidhannagar Commissioner of Police Rajeev Kumar.
