New Delhi: Dodsal FC, Mumbai’s newest professional football club, entered the final of the Durand Cup Friday.
Dodsal FC effortlessly beat most established football clubs of India on route to the final where they will play Godfrey Pereira coached Mumbai’s I-league club Air India.
Led by coach Bimal Ghosh, the team in its first appearance impressively defeated Army Red 3-0 in the first match and routed Punjab Police 6-0 in the league stage and made it to semifinals.
They entered the final beating Assam Rifles 6-5 in a nail-biting tie-breaker.
