Muslim groups welcome UP CM decision to exempt Moallim-e-Urdu degree holders from TET

Aligarh: Muslim groups have welcome the decision of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav in the Cabinet meeting about exempting Moallim-e-Urdu degree holders from teacher eligibility test (TET), for recruitment as Urdu teachers.

The OSD of Jamia Urdu Aligarh Farhat Ali Khan said that the decision will be a landmark in the history of U.P. as thousand of Moallim – e Urdu degree holders will get respectable employment.



He said that the Jamia Urdu has distinction to impart Moallim-e-Urdu course and it is the only institution which grants Moallim-e-Urdu degree. He was speaking in the farewell accorded to Mohd. Habib Ansari and Mohd. Umair on their retirements.

Deputy Registrar, Qadir Malik pointed out that this decision of UP CM will change the face of Urdu in state as it will be directly linked to the employment.

Jasim Mohammad, Director also welcomed the announcement of Akhilesh Yadav about lowering downs the land requirement for opening private University.
